About Me
I have always had a passion for working with people and understanding what makes them tick. I am fascinated that in our uniqueness, we are deeply connected and intertwined with others. Learning to live with others and ourselves is a complex, lifelong process and often can leave us feeling stuck or confused.
Counselling can help provide clarity on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. It also allows you to learn more about who you are and who you are in relationships with others. Together we can create space so that you can move forward from your challenging or traumatic experiences. No matter how helpless you feel, I believe you have inherent worth, strength, and resilience.
I completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Capilano University and my Masters of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have spent many years supporting families, individuals, couples and teens in a variety of settings.
I work with individuals, teens, couples, and their families to address depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, family and relationship issues, developmental delays/disabilities, suicide, women’s issues such as perinatal, postnatal, miscarriage, infertility, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), person-centred, narrative, dialectical behaviour therapy, attachment, emotion-focused, and cognitive behavioural approaches.
